We all thrive when both women and men use their gifts to lead and serve. CBE advances the gospel by equipping Christians to use their God-given talents regardless of gender, ethnicity, or class.
With supporters, ministry partners, and chapters from over 100 denominations and 65 countries, CBE engages Christians nationally and globally with free multi-media resources, adult and youth curricula, conferences, award-winning publications, a blog, and more.
International collaborations aim to eliminate gender-based violence and improve girls' access to education.
Develop a new Bible translation that addresses the verses most often mistranslated and used to demean women. This extensive and complex undertaking is vital realizing God’s plan for human flourishing, so CBE reallocated over $58,000 of operations resources to support it. We’re funded for the Bible project, but we need help in other ministry areas to close the gap.
Support women pursing ministry degrees with the Alvera Mickelsen Memorial Scholarship. CBE has already awarded $30,000 to five students. We'd love to support three more women in 2020 and reinvest funds to extend the life of the scholarship, for a total goal of $25,000.
Invest in girls by helping international ministry partners break down barriers to education, such as the lack of sanitary products and the social stigmas attached to menstruation. CBE’s fundraising goal is $15,000.
Every dollar donated will be matched up to $60,000. Please help us reach our $120,000 Giving Tuesday goal!
"We have a duty to trace women's disempowerment up the stream to its source. Women around the world who are trying to reshape their faith, who are wresting the interpretation of scripture from the grip of a male monopoly, are doing some of the most heroic work for social justice and economic opportunity in the world today. [These women and their male allies] are on the edge of a new frontier."
